Building What Matters
A 30-second television commercial connecting the scale of South Australian infrastructure investment with the people and communities it serves.

The brief
The commercial needed to communicate both the physical scale of government infrastructure and the everyday value it creates for South Australians, within a 30-second broadcast format. It had to move quickly across different sectors, locations and forms of public investment while still reading as one coherent statewide message.
How it was made
Two camera units worked simultaneously across active construction sites, transport corridors, public places and services. This allowed the production to cover more locations within a tight schedule and gave the edit a consistent balance of industrial scale and human detail. Anamorphic lenses gave the varied locations a common visual language and helped convey the scale of the infrastructure.
What was delivered
A television commercial for the South Australian Department of the Premier and Cabinet, created through KWP! Advertising and Yah Yah. Ben Dowie directed, filmed and edited the campaign, with Viv Madigan shooting second unit. The finished commercial moves between the infrastructure being built, the people delivering it and the communities it serves, giving a broad government program a clear human focus.
