From brief
to finished film

Dowie Projects is led by Adelaide filmmaker Ben Dowie, bringing 20 years’ experience to films for business and industry. The approach starts with the audience and the story, then builds a production that suits the brief.

You work with Ben from the first conversation through to the final edit. His involvement in both filming and editing means the ideas developed during planning carry through to the finished film. Clear review stages keep you involved as the film takes shape, with time to watch, discuss and refine the edit.

  2. Agree the scope

    We work through the story, locations, filming dates, crew, deliverables and revisions before quoting.

  3. Film and finish

    Capture the people and work, then shape the footage into the agreed film and versions.

Do I need a finished brief?

No. A rough outline, intended audience and timing are enough to start a conversation.

Can you make a main film and shorter versions?

Yes. The edit lengths, formats and versions are agreed in the quote so the production is planned around how you will use the material.

Can you film outside Adelaide?

Yes. Regional work can be scoped around the locations, travel and access required.

What will it cost?

The quote depends on filming time, locations, crew and the edit required. Share an indicative budget if you have one, and we can discuss a suitable scope.
